Rambling Ruins
The Rambling Ruins is named after the Eden Valley vineyard in which the grapes for this wine are grown. This vineyard is planted on a hillside slope which leans into a narrow gully in which lie the ruins of an early Eden Valley settlement. We imagine that if these ruins could talk, they would ramble on for hours about all they had seen from those earliest times. This vineyard’s soil is rich in limestone and other sedimentary rocks used to build these now ruinous, yet still beautiful structures. The wine expresses the unique nature of this site, showing the flavours of the soil in its textural minerality and vibrant fruit character.
